Born in 1981 in Grodno, Belarus and based in Minsk. Andrei Liankevich attended the Belarus State University, where he received a Bachelor Degree of Economy in 2004. In 2004-5 he studied at the Caucasus Media Institute in Yerevan, Armenia concentrated on the Yezidi minority in Armenia and was awarded a distinction for his photographs of the Yezidis in the World Press Photo seminar there. Since 2006 Andrei Liankevich lectures "Photojournalism" at an European Humanitarian University in Vilnius, Lithuania. From 2005 Andrei cooperates with EPA (European Press Photo Agency). And in 2007 joined “Anzenberger agency”. In September 2007 Andrei participate in “Focus on monferrato masterclass” in Tuscany
(Italy).
His works were published in leading Belarussian newspaper Nasha Niva and in international publications such as New York Times, Le Figaro, Newsweek (Russian edition), Die Zeit, Spiegel, International Herald Tribune, Ogoniok , Newsweek (Russia), Gazeta Wyborcza and Rzecz Pospolita (Poland). His work has been exhibited in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Norway, Czech republic, Estonia and Belarus.
