Jörg M. Colberg was born in Germany and now lives in the United States. He is the founder and editor of Conscientious, a widely read website dedicated to contemporary fine-art photography. In addition, Jörg is a writer, photographer and photography consultant, having contributed to Creative Review, American Photo, Foam Magazine, Orion Magazine, Nieman Reports, Yvi Magazine, and Chinese Photography Magazine. He also contributed introductory essays to monographs by photographers Hellen van Meene, Greg Girard, and Andrés Marroquín Winkelmann.
