NEW UPGRADED [OR]EDU 2.0 EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM

Welcome to the [OR]EDU 2.0 upgraded version! As promised we have completed a series of updates to improve our educational platform for visual storytelling.

Let us walk you through some of the main changes.

First of all, note our new application process - we have switched to a continuous schedule which allows you to join the project at any stage and not wait until the next available workshops session.

We have rearranged the main menu, consolidating all the completed and ongoing workshops, educational resources, to be joined by educational videos and tutorials soon - under ONLINE EDUCATION section.
All [OR] users, including masters, workshops participants and applicants are now brought together in [OR]COMMUNITY.

In TALKS&FEEDS we are bringing you the website news, achievements of our past workshops participants and community members, information about relevant contests & grants - to be complimented shortly by an English blog (for now our blog is only available in Russian).

The MEDIA section showcases photographs and multimedia pieces produced by past workshops participants.

In the workshop module itself we have added new features such as:
_Multimedia support to the workshops messages. Both students and masters can now upload sound and video files in addition to image files

_Project history. It allows you to keep track of different versions of your project as you make changes in your edit or upload new images. This feature helps visualize the process of creating a narrative and go back to its roots for you, masters and the viewers

_Workshop stream. You can now view all workshop messages in one ALL MESSAGES stream, or choose to view only the messages that involve your participation in MY STREAM. You can also sort the messages order by New messages or New comments

_Master’s edit. The master is now able to edit images from your story and set the images sequence

And the last, but not the least - [OR]EDU is starting to offer its online platform for free to like-minded organizations interested in conducting their own workshops in visual storytelling. More about that in our next newsletter!
