This series is mainly compiled of landscapes with groups of schoolboys, shot in Turkish suburbs. In these photographs I want to show the visual environment of the Turkish youth. Turkey is a young country with growing population. 45% of its population is younger than 25 years. The average age of the European countries and Russia population is 37,7 years; average age of the Turkey population is 29 years. World bank predicted that by 2025 Turkey population will increase by 22 million. The population of Russia by this time will be reduced by 17 million, Ukraine by 12 million. Population of the EU countries by this time can increase because of the migrants, including those from Turkey.

Michael Regnier about this assignment Very nice to see this new work from you and I think you've picked an excellent subject which, in this case, is particularly interesting for us in Western Europe where there is a big debate about Turkey in Europe and European turkey etc. A particular problem in this debate is the realization that turkey has a much faster growing population and that allowing turkey in the EU would cause an "imbalance" (as some people see it) inside the EU. I like the fact that you did this as "landscape" photography, not portrait photography, because this 'impersonal' approach addresses the question in an interesting way. For me this shows the way many people think about Turkey - 70 million TURKS, not 70 million Individuals! I like your style - the choice of colors which is very unusual to Turkey. You should have a look at the work of George Georgiou if I haven't told you this already in a previous post http://www.georgegeorgiou.net/ on Turkey.
