This is a long-term project I'm shooting now about Nevskiy prospect. It is about our city's main avenue, it's inhabitants, situations and relationships. Also the title of the series refers to the story of the great Russian writer who had his 200's anniversary on the 3d of April - N.V.Gogol.
Michael Regnier about this assignment He first set on Nevskii Prospekt is great... I like the mixture of angles, times of day, movement and people. It really shows the main avenue of the city in all its diversity and frenetic energy! I think the choice of b/w is interesting since it really brings out the contrasts and makes some of the images much more graphic than if you had color images... I would like to see more from this long-term project - it's looking really good... |
